Miners' Hall
Material evidence of local and regional mining history and display boards give visitors an impression of the work and lifestyle of miners in earlier times. Tools, mining lamps and miners' costumes can be admired. A particularly impressive piece in the collection is the coffin lid cross of the local miners' association. Beautiful tin and valuable porcelain illustrate the further processing of the main products of the old Aue mining industry: tin and kaolin. Using kaolin from Aue, J. F. Böttger succeeded in producing white porcelain for the first time in Europe.
